it's not a card...

I've been busy painting this week. I can't believe it has taken me all week. I'm not happy with the pink flowers and know that at some point I will have to redo them! Back to card making for a little while first though:)

Suitcases full of birthday hugs card...

I was very excited to use the brand new pop n cut suitcase die ( borrowed from my crafty friend Helen @ diningroomdrawers.blogspot). It's for a friend who moved away a few years ago and who I miss very much:( I hope this card makes her smile!

Happy birthday princess card...

My little one was invited to a princess party so needed an appropriate princess card to give the party girl.
I used my pop n cuts die and the flagpole decorative strip die for this card.

The invite was hand made (drawn and painted) by the party girls mum!! No pressure there then!!

Window scene card...

I started this card with the intention of entering it in to a blog challenge but didn't finish in time.

The lamp is from the sizzix flagpole decorative step die. For the grass I used a Marianne creatables icicles die and inverted it. The flowers are from a small punch and the stems were made using a Provo craft die.

As I passed the card through the machine when making the windows, the die made square marks/ indentations on the back piece of the card. To cover the marks I used a sizzix scallop edge envelope die. I will place a piece of scrap card between the die and the card next time!
