If we fits we sits Silhouette 3D box card...

I wasn't going to post this card on my blog but as I received an overwhelming amount of views (over 2000 and still rising!) and interest from the card-making Facebook groups I'm in, I decided I should.

The labels were cut using Karen Burniston's fancy labels dies that come with her fancy accordion die.

Quite a number of people asked how I made the card and and if the cats were stamps. I made the card using my new silhouette cameo machine. I used Lori Whitlocks flower box file I purchased from silhouette online and just tweaked it to accommodate the cats.

The cute cats and the 'have a purrfect day' stamp are from a great set of 22 stamps called paw prints by Ailie Busby and they were free with my copy of paper-craft inspiration magazine in September 2013.

Thank you so much for looking I hope you like this card too, if you would also like to follow my Facebook page it's called oldredshed and you can find it by clicking on the link... (Hopefully)

lucy label wedding card...

This was another card I made to give my friend a choice of cards. I used the hearts from Karen Burniston's heart die set for the tuxedo and wedding dress, and a label die from her Katie label die set to put the congratulations on.

It's is the first time I've used one of Karens new embossing envelopes. The finish is clean and crisp, a really great addition to Elizabeth craft designs store. The label on the front was made using Karen Burniston for Elizabeth craft designs fancy accordion die set.

CAS wedding card...

This is a quick and easy card I was asked to make for someone to give their friend. I used Karen Burniston's Katie label dies as they nest together beautifully. The wording and the oval it is written on were created using my silhouette cameo.

Accordion 21 and holding card...

I received a silhouette cameo for my birthday and have been experimenting with what I can do with it. As you can see it perfectly compliments Karen burniston and Elizabeth craft designs products.

I have to say I am very impressed with it, I was able to make and cut the circular-ish shape around the Elizabeth craft design peel off balloons. Which when I tell you now, sounds easy but it did take me bit of faffing and tweaking to get it to fit around the balloons so that they sat in the centre of Karens circular accordion die.
The silhouette cuts and if you remove the blade and place one of their sketch pens in the blade slot you can make it write what ever you tell it to. I was able to create the circular wording and the '21 and holding' on the purple part of the card.

Keep calm and drink tea 3D box card...

I was so pleased with the effect of the 3D box card I made using my silhouette cameo I decided to make another one. This time however I used some of my precoloured (to see how to do this please watch Els YouTube video) Elizabeth craft designs sparkly teacups and teapot that have been shouting out to me to be used. To finish it off I added a Karen Burniston Katie label and stamped it with keep calm and drink tea.

Silhouette 3D box card...

I am so excited to be able to show you this card. It is from a template I downloaded from Silhouette Cameos online store.
This is the very first card I have made like this and I was very pleased with how it turned out.

Karen Burniston new house pivot die card...

I was able to get a few house die cards Cut when I borrowed my friend Helens die. With my glue crisis alleviated I chose to use Karens flourish edge die that co-ordinates with the fancy frame accordion album die on this card.
The tree, blossom, grass and clouds are all part of Karens all seasons tree die set.
As I didn't cut any coordinating house pieces from the new house die set I used Karens Sizzix house die set. I found if I leave a small amount of card uncovered by the double sided sticky tape and position the die as below, it's a lot easier to peel the back off but the pieces still stick well and stays on the card.
