Thank you teacher card...

This card is one of four very similar ones, they are from my youngest to her teachers and TA's, who have all played a part in ensuring she has had a happy second year at school.
I used the sizzix accordion album card die. The thank you is from a stamp that I coloured and cut each letter out individually. I tried blending the promarkers to colour the girl which is from a prince and princess stamp set. Although it's not clear from the photo, I used some stickles glitter glue on the roses on the dress which sparkle beautifully when they catch the light.

I have been searching for a smaller Alphabet die to fit on the flags of the flagpole die. This is the sizzix 'neon mini' strip die. I would have liked to buy the 'small stuff' alphabet die but could only find it for sale in America and as I've already been stung with a hefty import fee (UK government grrrr) from a previous purchase I decided not to do that again!

The alphabet die in this one is the spellbinders 'Donna's Alphas' ..... Hummm a bit big but still fun to experiment with all the different size alphabet dies I have.

Gorjuss new heights thank you card...

I have started my thank teacher cards as I have quite a few to make. This one is going to be from my little book worm, who has managed to read a staggering 4 million words in 50 books since her school introduced the accelerated reader scheme last october.
I have used the girl from my Gorjuss 'new heights' stamp and promarker to colour it. The thanks lettering is from the cuttlebug typewriter alphabet set.
I used the Anita 3D glue on the books, scissors and lettering for added texture.

Piano teacher thanks..

As I seem to take forever to make just one card, I thought I had better start making thank you teacher cards now for the end of July! I used my square flip it card die and the sizzix music sheet strip die to create this 'quick' card for my daughters music teacher. I used the colour specifications for the http://theplaydatecafe.blogspot.co.uk/ challenge.

Albert Einstein card...

I made this card using Karen Burniston's horizontal A2 circle 3-D pop up die. The sizzix flag poles are off set, with the back flagpole pulling the front one up. I used Tim Holtz tattered flower garland die and my new 'crafts too' picket fence die. The bike and the 'on the go' arrow are part of the sizzix frame lists stamp and die set. The sun and cloud are from the sizzix hello kitty range.

I'm going to enter this into the southern girls challenge blog.

My new craft cupboards.

The base cupboards are corona sideboards I bought on eBay. I made the wall cupboards using an old pine cube storage unit. I am so very very pleased with myself. I just need to stain them all the same colour.

Pretty notice board..

I have seen some pretty notice boards on eBay recently so thought I would have a go too. I found the to scale inch and centimetre tape measure ribbon on eBay.

Wrapping paper gift tags too...

I couldn't resist using the left over bits and bobs to decorate my friends present:)

Happy birthday Helen..

It's my crafty buddy's birthday today. I wanted to make a card that encompassed her craftiness. But found it difficult to pick just one as she has soooo/tooooo many!!!
I tried to create it with the ribbon reel challenge specifications in mind, I'm not sure if I achieved it but will enter it anyway.

I used Karen Burniston's 3-D zig zag card insert but folded the paper so it cut three pop up tabs not just two. Helen's favourite fabric designer is Tanya Whelan so I used some lookalike fabric with my 3/4 inch sizzix hexagon die. I love bunting and feel the need to put it in every card I make!
The bike is from a Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK with Stamps. I found the 'centimetre tape measure' ribbon on eBay and is actually to the correct scale. The book stamp is from the Gorjuss 'new heights' stamp set. The other stamps I used were freebies on various crafting magazines.

Spring is in the air...

I have been really struggling to know where to start with my card making when it comes to the many challenge competitions there are on the web. I found an old note book and for the last few cards I have drawn what my finished produce is supposed to look like. I tend to deviate from the plan a little when I see that logistically this or that piece just will not go where I thought it would originally, but on the whole I feel more relaxed and am back to enjoying my cardmaking.

I used the sizzix ornate trifold die and Karen Burnistons zig zag 3-D pop up die for the base of the card. The flowers are from my Tim Holtz tattered flower garland strip die. The sun and cloud are a from my sizzix hello kitty die. I bought some new card from money and vouchers I received for my birthday, this card is made from the 'family ties' pad.

I added a little butterfly stamp behind the flowers. I also changed the word the little rabbit holds from 'love' to 'spring is in the air' by stamping the words on a separate piece of paper and gluing it behind some extra rabbits paws creating a decoupage effect.

I'm going to enter this into the craftycardmakers competition. http://craftycardmakers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/90-april-showers-bring-may-flowers.html
