Pop n cut minecraft card...

This is for my nephew who turns 12 at the end of this month. Like my kids he is minecraft mad!
I found a printable 3D 'steve' template on Pinterest and used Karen Burniston pop n cut label insert to place it in. As minecraft is mainly blocks the chest and mud block were easy to replicate by hand.
I folded the card just in front of the label crease and at the normal crease to accommodate 'Steve'
From the front it looks like he is in bed, yes I know the bed on minecraft is red but I didn't have any nice paper in that colour.
For the grass at the top of my mud square I used the Marianne icicle stencil die, but because I wanted the grass section to be deeper I used my dimensional cutting pad I saw being used on youtube by Tim Holtz.

Tanya Whelan candle cards...

I had some Tanya Whelan scraps of card left over from making a different card so carried on the candle theme with these.

My favourite is this one. I used my Karen Burniston pop n cut label insert.:)

rainbow candle cards...

I decided I needed to have a stock of pre-made birthday cards so spent a few hours making these.

Each one has the same theme but are subtly different. I embossed the coloured card for the body of the candles and used an upside down love heart for the flame. I filled each flame with some stickles 'star dust' glitter glue.

For this card I used the Karen Burniston pop n cut die.

Happy 63rd birthday grandad pop n cut...

I found this Karen burniston pop up card perfect to display my Marianne camera die. For the happy birthday I used an Elizabeth design craft die. I created the grandad with my sizzix neon alphabet decorative strip die.

Bright & beautiful card...

I made this card for my daughter to give to her good friend from school. It was their last day together before they go off to different schools after the holidays. I used my favourite die the sizzix accordion album die with the labels and frames that match.

Happy 80th...

My uncrafty friend asked me to make a card for a lady who turns 80 this week. I used the sizzix square flip it card base and added some sizzix butterflies finished off with pearl bodies. The 'life is sweet' stamp is from a new set of sayings and banners by Marianne I bought from www.graftoncrafts.co.uk.

A sort of chair hammock...

I bought my husband this hammock as a gift a few years ago but because our trees are too far apart it has never been used. I have been looking on Pinterest for some sort of therapy swing to help calm my middle ones anxiety. (The OT said something about the vestibular system needing a shake up to start the day running) I saw a lot of chair hammocks and slings that looked a lot like this.  Despite how it looks it is actually very comfortable, I tested it thoroughly while reading a book this afternoon:)

Homemade hammocks...

I saw this idea on Pinterest. The person had tied their fabric under a dining room table. These were made using a couple of old double duvet covers. I unpicked the seams down 2 sided of each cover so each hammock before tying measured about 4 metres by 2 metres, then simply tied the ends length ways under the climbing frame.

karen Burniston accordion album thank you card...

Karen Burniston Journey collection back to front Father's Day card...

My friend Helen@diningroomdrawers let me come play with her new Karen Burniston Journey die collection. This was my first attempt. I intentionally did the card this way round honest;) Okay, maybe I didn't but the wording fitted some much better with the card this way!

Thank you flip it card....

Just when I think I've finished with thank you cards for a while, heres another. This one is for the TA who courageously went on the roller coaster ride several times with my eldest daughter on their school trip. Apparently the TA 'screamed like an old woman', I'm not sure what the different types of screams mean to my daughter but they obviously mean something!
I used Tim Holtz tattered flower garland decorative strip die for the flowers. The bird is one of the very first dies I received with my sizzix started pack, it is suspended in place with some thin clear elastic.

I found these so so cute and tiny button brads the last time I was dragged to a craft shop by my crafty buddy Helen. Okay maybe dragged isn't the correct word as it was my idea to go, but that's what I told my hubby when he got home and there was no tea waiting on the table for him;)

accordion album new baby card....

I made this beautiful card for my good friend who has just had the most beautiful baby ever. The sizzix bigz cutting die lettering is made using Tanya Whelan paper pad and the Karen Burniston accordion album die and accessories are from the forever friends new baby pad.

A gripping gift...

Mr Jackson has really captured my sons respect this year, he obviously has the intuition needed to handle 13 year olds with 'flicky' hair and attitude! Jake has enjoyed every moment of his class and he very often comes home and tells me funny things the teacher has said or done. Mr Jackson has been calling Jake 'Peg' all year (Rolf Harris-Jake the peg) and we wanted him to know Jake has appreciate his time in his class. So I found this giant peg on eBay and used my sizzix neon alphabet decorative strip for the lettering to create this. I covered the lettering with some Anita 3D clear gloss liquid to give it a lovely embossed finish.

Because Jake chickened out of giving it to him, I popped it in an envelope and left it with the school office to hand on. I know, I know, I'm one of 'those' mums:)
Apparently the teacher opened up the envelope during Jakes lesson with him today and read the accompanying note I had put in there out loud:)) haha I can only imagine how embarrassing that was.

It's a box...

A friend of my daughter had fun making this Eileen Hull sizzix square box. She is determined she will keep her tortoise food in it, hence the T on the front!

Just a note....

Here is another thank you card. I used a Karen Burniston's Frame insert with my A2 horizontal card. This is for the office staff at my daughters school, they often don't get any acknowledgement for all the behind the scenes work they do.
