DIY Promarker storage box...

For the past year or so I've been storing my set of promarkers, grouped in to colour combinations and held together with elastic bands in a draw at my crafting station. But I like neat and orderly and easy to find so while trawling through Pinterest I found the perfect DIY solution using an egg crate lighting grid and a plastic storage box with a lid.

Now if you are from the USA you probably know what an egg crate lighting grid is but I'm from the UK and didn't have the foggiest idea! So more trawling and googling later I found an alternative grid in the UK it's a pond filter grid and can be found on eBay for about £7.50 including delivery. I also found a 9L really use box box that would hold all my promarkers with spare slots to accommodate future purchases.
I used my dremel versa-tip heat tool while has 6 different attachments, one of which was the perfect size to slice the plastic grid to cut it down to fit.
I then used tie wraps to secure the top grid in place through the holes I'd made using my versa-tip tool.

I spent a peaceful afternoon in the sun colouring mini sticky dots and sticking them to the relevant promarker pen.

Labels for presents...

Just a little post to show you how fabulously quick and easy it is to fancy up wrapping a present.
I wrapped a couple of sheets of tissue paper around the gift. Then I used an Elizabeth craft designs tea cup die that I had already glittered and coloured to attach the string holding the Katie label.

I didn't notice the wind had whipped the label up mid shot!!!

Look what you can do with the new word dies!!! This Merry Christmas one fits perfectly on Karen Burniston's new Lorna label pop it up die.

But even more exciting look at the new stocking die that also fits so perfectly too!!

Thank you teacher card...

Just a quick post using my blogger app. This card is for one of the daughters teacher. I love the paper effect embossing folder!

I bought the cute penny black stamp set a while ago and thought I'd have a play with my promarkers on different bleedproof paper than I normally use. (Tim Holtz ink paper)
Although it didn't allow the pens to blend in the same way as my usual paper I think I still like the effect.

I used Karen Burnistons lots of pops dies for this card. Did I tell you recently how fab her dies are? 😃

Second July design team challenge for karen Burniston...

Here are my second card designs for this months challenge, as requested these ones are a more practical reproducible card to inspire people that need to make 50 holiday cards.

My first step so that I could position them on my precut cardstock was to use my wire cutters to separate the words 'merry' and 'Christmas'.

I then placed all the cardstock and the dies I intended to use on to my magnetic platform not forgetting to use my cutting plates!
I used mini form sticky pads to give the card a slight 3D effect and my Tombow glue pen to secure the words in place.

Look how cute Hoppy the frog is on Karens new Katie label accordion album die. The accordion die comes with these great little corner dies that some of the design team have creatively used as crowns for the cute new animal dies.
