Karen Burniston Time flies......

This is a card I was going to use as one of my May design team challenge posts but as I made a major spelling/grammar mistake I decided to use it as an example of how you can alter a card so you can still use it.
So all started out okay, this is the front of the card. I love how the shimmer sheetz look if you emboss and sand them slightly.
This is inside the card with the mistake on it, can you spot it? I have to be honest I didn't spot it until after I had photographed and watermarked it!!

And this is the fixed card...

Karen Burniston May design team challenge Gorjuss lucy label...

This is the second card for my Karen Burniston design team May challenge. Of all the stamps I own the gorjuss girl range are my favourite. This one is Ruby on a swing, I simply cut off the swing part to make it look like she is sitting down enjoying the beautiful warm summers day while letting her dreams fly.

I used two different sized fancy frame labels from Karens fancy accordion set for the kite, the words to sit on, as well as for the tiny butterfly from the butterfly accessories die set. I chose to make my card tall and skinny, it's just over 3 inches wide by 8 inches tall.I used one of the agatha edges dies to cut the blue card stock for the front of the card and added a few of my many buttons.

Karen Burniston lucy label butterfly May challenge...

This is the first of my cards for the Karen Burniston design team May challenge. The challenge this month was to use the word 'FLY' which we could interpret it in any way we chose.

Earlier this month I experimented with my Karen Burniston embossing folders on a new baby card. I used the same technique of embossing straight on to my base card after I'd die cut and glued the inside pieces together.

I found this lovely quote on Pinterest and knew it was perfect for this challenge. I used word on the computer and printed it out, then after I'd die cut it using the label die that comes in the Lucy set I applied embossing gloss

I was lucky enough to get a lovely sunny day to photography the inside of the card in my garden.

Happy birthday circle album card...

This is for my crafty friend Helen who dragged me and another friend around every shoe shop in the nearby city in search of the perfect pair of high heeled shoes. Why someone so tall would need them is beyond me!! Can you hear the I'm not jealous of her height vibes coming through? ;)
Anyway I digress, I used Karen Burniston's fab circle accordion album die for this card with some lovely Elizabeth craft design shoe peel offs, and flowers dies.

Karens circle accordion die has a built in stitch effect so once I had passed the core'dinations card and die through the big shot machine once, I then passed it through again as an embossing sandwich ( with a silicone sheet). After that I was able to sand (with an Emory board) the raised stitching slightly to make the core of the card more prominent.

ECD Karen Burniston fancy album flower peel off card.....

This card was very quick and easy to make thanks to the new ECD fancy frame peel off which sit perfectly in Karen Burniston's fancy frame album die.

I stuck some double sided adhesive to my pastel coloured card stock before running it through my big shot with the trellis border die. This made it really easy to stick to the main card.

new baby lucy card...

This was one of my just experimenting to see what it looks like cards. After I had glued the white card stock to the my precut Lucy label card I folded it into one of Karen's new embossing folders and ran the whole lot through my big shot.

I hope you agree that the resulting effect is very pretty both on the outside and the inside of the card.
